ABOUT ME
I was born on 1 December 1950. I've been writing since childhood; way back in the dark ages...
I've completed one novel (that all important, self-indulgent first novel) and am about three quarters of the way through a second novel, which I've been writing for the last 40 years, on and off. I re-read it recently and it shows promise! It's an erotic horror fantasy. The trouble is, I'm completely lost in the plot and am therefore putting together a time and event line to try and clarify things. I guess I should try and finish the book before I run out of time. After all, I've had more than I've got left; that's a given!
My passion is and always has been, writing short stories. You can see my latest progress under 'published work' above.
Over the years I've had quite a few stories published, mostly in magazines that have since gone the way of the Dodo. These include:
ENIGMATIC TALES, NASTY PIECE OF WORK, SCHEHERAZADE, PARASIGHT, FOOTSTEPS, URGES, NIGHT DREAMS and SYMPHONIE'S GIFT.
On-line publications include GATHERING DARKNESS, DARK PLANET FICTION and TIME OUT NET BOOKS.
Anthologies include GRAVITY'S ANGELS, NASTY SNIPS and LINKS.
I had an Honourable Mention in THE YEAR's BEST FANTASY & HORROR for my story, 'The Edge of the Country', but I can't remember which year it was!
I have edited three magazines since 1998 when ROADWORKS was born. I then decided to produce a magazine that was more dark fantasy and less horror, so LEGEND came into being in 2000. Eventually, these two magazines ceased publication to be replaced by MIDNIGHT STREET in 2004. This became a PDF download and is currently 'resting'. Go to the site via the 'Links' page above.
I'm very proud of these magazines which have achieved much praise within the Independent Press and have been nominated for BFS awards and garnered many Honourable Mentions over the years, in YBF&H. One story by Ralph Robert Moore was reprinted in this illustrious publication.
That's all I can think of to say at the moment, so take a look around and keep me in mind.
